Isn't it against the law in Newfoundland Labrador for a child under the age of 16 to operate a motorized vehicle while not being supervised by an adult? Where was mom or dad ?

All of us at Safety Services Newfoundland Labrador would like to pass along condolences to the family and friends of the young gentleman. It's always sad to hear of such incidents, especially since we are so committed to improving the safety and health of everyone in NL. We were all hoping for a more positive outcome.

Another young teen needlessly killed in NL's endemic of ATV/skidoo accidents. Hey, I am from NL, and I had a skidoo when I was a kid. Though, that is not to say that allowing me to have one was a responsible action. If I was a parent, I would never let my child operate a vehicle, certainly not alone.

You know what Mark buddy? There's a time and a place for that debate, but when a family and an entire community are mourning the loss of a young life, it is not the time nor the place. Please have some respect and think before you type next time. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire southwest coast.
