RNC seeks assistance in robbery

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary requesting the assistance of the general public in identifying the person or persons responsible for an armed robbery at a commercial business on Campbell Avenue in St. John's.  

On Friday at approximately 6 p.m., RNC officers responded to an armed robbery at Lawton's Drugs on Campbell Avenue. The male suspect entered the store and demanded narcotics before fleeing the scene on foot towards Lemarchant Road.

The male suspect is described as approximately 6-feet tall, with a pale complexion and strawberry blond hair. At the time of the incident the male is described as wearing dark clothing with a black hood up. The suspect had his face concealed with red sunglasses and a plaid scarf. The investigation into this armed robbery is continuing.
