RCMP investigating suspicious house fire in Lark Harbour

 A house destroyed by fire in Lark Harbour on the province’s west coast early Sunday morning is deemed suspicious by the RCMP.

The blaze also caused damage to surrounding residences.

No injuries were reported.

Corner Brook RCMP say the actions of residents in the immediate area and the local volunteer fire department is credited with preventing a much more serious situation.

The fire is suspicious in nature due to unauthorized entry into the residence on the day or days previous to the fire by an unknown individuals.

The matter is currently under investigation and RCMP Corner Brook is requesting assistance from the Public.

 Anyone having knowledge of this incident or the individuals responsible is asked to contact the RCMP Corner Brook Detachment at (709) 637-4433 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
