RCMP seeking information on break-in, single-vehicle collision

The Lewisporte RCMP detachment is investigating a break and entry into a business in Campbellton.

 Around 6:50 a.m. Monday, while officers were on the scene of a single-vehicle collision on Route 343, Comfort Cove-Newstead, they were advised of a break and entry that had just occurred at the Kanes Ultramar on Route 340, Campbellton.  

Police say a quantity of cigarettes were stolen from the business and they believes the accident and break and entry are related.  

Forensic Identification services members are currently assisting in the investigation.

 The RCMP is asking anyone having any knowledge of this incident or seeing anyone or anything suspicious in the area during this time to contact the Lewisporte RCMP at 535-8637 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
