Power outage in Happy Valley-Goose Bay

A broken utility pole in Happy Valley-Goose Bay is leaving some residents of the Labrador community without power as of early Monday evening.

According to Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro website, the outage affects 35 streets in the community. It began at approximately 7 p.m.

According to a post made shortly before 8 p.m. through the Crown corporation’s official Twitter account, a time has not been confirmed for when power will be restored.

    Since one broken utility pole results in an outage, and thus violating the laws of Physics, its clear that Nalcor has an unreliable electrical system in the Central Labrador town.
