RNC make arrest in armed robbery

At approximately 2:00 p.m. on March 7, RNC officers responded to an armed robbery at Marie’s Mini Mart on Stavanger Drive in St. John’s. The male suspect armed with a weapon entered the store and demanded cash and cigarettes before fleeing the scene. The suspect headed east on Stavanger Drive. There were no injuries sustained during the offence.

Investigators within the RNC have now charged a St. John’s youth male with armed robbery, disguise with intent and possession of property obtained by crime. The accused was arrested without incident and held to appear in provincial court.
