Visitor restrictions for St. John’s nursing home

An issue with gastrointestinal illness has forced Eastern Health to implement visitation restrictions at a nursing home in St. John’s.

In a news release issued over the weekend, the regional health authority said that only one immediate family member at a time would be allow to visit residents of the Agnes Pratt Nursing Home. It advised that anyone planning a visit should contact the facility ahead of time.

Eastern Health said the restriction will remain in effect until further notice. The Hoyles Escasoni Complex in St. John’s remained closed to visitors as of Sunday afternoon.
