Man arrested after ATV hits home

A 22-year-old man was charged with impaired driving after an all-terrain vehicle crashed into a house in Stephenville Sunday afternoon.

According to Bay St. George RCMP, damage to the property on Queen Street was “considerable.”

The driver was not injured. He was released to appear in court at a later date. Police seized the ATV.

    This driver could have just as easily have hit a person/s and seriously injured them, or worse. These machines now have quite a bad reputation, but they are only as dangerous as the people driving them.

    Too bad the damage to the driver wasn't considerable enough to make him re-think his choices next time! Then again, being able to make the right choice would mean that the person would have to care about what might happen to others. And it would mean that the person was smart enough to make the right choice. I have a feeling that the driver of this ATV doesn't care one bit about others and has little common sense.
