A scheduled temporary closure of Harbour Drive in St. John’s has been postponed for a week.

A city spokeswoman told The Telegram today there is a technical issue involving a crane coming in to disassemble another crane at 351 Water St., causing the road closure to be rescheduled for March 18.

Eastport Properties had asked the city to temporarily close Harbour Drive from March 11-15 so it could get a construction crane off the road.

It was in use at 351 Water St. since earlier this year. The company wants to close Harbour Drive between Water Street and Bishop’s Cove. All traffic will be detoured via Water Street.
