The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is investigating a report of a sudden death Tuesday night in the east end of St. John’s.
No other details have been released by police.
Also on Tuesday around 11:50 a.m., RNC officers responded to a bomb threat at Holy Spirit High School in Conception Bay South.
According to police, school officials noticed a message on the male washroom wall, which read “BOMB 1:17.”
Students were relocated to the church adjacent to the school. The building was cleared with the assistance of RNC K-9 unit. Identification unit officers were also on the scene.
Around 1:30 p.m., the school was turned back over to school officials.
Other incidents in the RNC’s latest overnight report:
• At 3:20 p.m. Tuesday, RNC officers also responded to the parking lot of Dominion, Mount Pearl, after receiving information regarding a possible weapon in a vehicle.
After an investigation, it was determined that the weapon was a pellet gun. The police investigation continuing, but no charges have been laid at this point.
• Around 10 p.m. Tuesday, RNC officers responded to a break and entry on Nightingale Road. A 17-year-old female was charged with break and entry and possession of property obtained by crime.
She was held in custody until a court appearance.
• At 12:30 a.m. today. RNC officers arrested a 33 year old female in the centre of St. John’s under a warrant issued by the Correctional Service Of Canada. She was held in custody until a court appearance.
