Central Health is advising the public, that effective immediately, due to the presence of respiratory illness, limited visitation on Unit A will be strictly enforced at Dr. Hugh Twomey Health Centre, until further notice.
The health authority says limited visitation means that the following regulations will be strictly enforced:
• No children under 14 years of age;
• One visitor per resident at a time;
• Visitors must be members of the resident's immediate family.
Central Health says the needs of clients are being met through ongoing care from staff.
Family members who have any questions should contact Dr. Hugh Twomey Health Centre at (709) 257-5249 and ask to speak with the nurse in charge on Unit A.
The health authority says the public's co-operation is requested as it puts these precautions in place to prevent the further spread of this virus.
