RNC seek public assistance in robbery investigation

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is requesting the public’s help to identify the person responsible for a robbery at Family Drug Mart on Portugal Cove Road in St. John’s Wednesday evening.

The RNC say that about 6:50 p.m., officers from the RNC’s patrol services, K9 and criminal investigation divisions responded to the robbery. A male suspect had entered the store and demanded narcotics before fleeing the scene.

There were no injuries during the incident.

The suspect is described as 5’10” and 180 lbs. At the time of the incident he was wearing a dark grey hoodie, black or dark jeans with a pillow case concealing his face. The male suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash and narcotics.
