I have little faith in anything this Conservative is saying especially knowing that this is also the very same Conservative who voted against Bill C-400 to deal with the shortage of affordable housing despite the fact there is a big problem with not enough affordable housing which is a very important issue. The Liberal Party of Canada and the NDP are starting to look like a much better choice for the people but that's just my opinion.

Good Riddance! People of Labrador remember the past and send the CONS a stern message. No more CONS!

You should have resigned much sooner than two years later, and gone with a little bit of self-respect, rather than spread the blame on others. Stop trying to convince people of your lack of knowledge, as well as exaggerating your achievements. We have minds of our own. Don't bother looking for re-election. Who is going to vote for someone they can't trust? Then again, there are not too many politicians who you can trust.

Not a good week for the cons. EC closing in and now a cabinet minister resigns mid scandal.

Hopefully the people of Labrador will fail to re-elect Penashue back in to government. While he was elected as the member for Labrador, as the minister for both Newfoundland AND Labrador he was weaker than weak, doing absolutely nothing for Newfoundland. Even without having a member elected to the gogernment, it we will be no worse than it is now and there may be a better time for aa the province. As well, the wording of his statement says that without him there, we would not have received money for either Muskrat or the TLC.

He probably resigned to avoid any possibility of prosecution??? No problem if not re-elected as he can be a Chief or Contractor of one of the Indian Bands and get a possible pay raise and not have to account for any of the spending practices. Oh maybe I should not have said that because Randy was forced out for being truthful but said something that was not Politically Correct. Good Ridance!

Peter Penashue should have resigned long ago. He never had any intention of doing the right thing. His statement that he is doing the right thing now is disingenuous at best. Obviously something happened to push him to this decision. If the voters put him back in office (I hope not) then they deserve them. Come on people, condier carefully if you can live with this man representing you. Send a message - no more corrupt politicians!

Yet another prime example of the corruption in the Conservative Govt. How about we do another Provincial Election right now and get these idiots out of power.

Hmmm. A resignation out of the blue. Wonder if he also took a few days vacation to ' reflect ' prior to his decision ?.

The man was totally in over his head. At the best of times he looked like a deer caught in a headlight. Dazed at best. Response when asked a question....whaaaath? Now if some local politicians would follow his lead, starting with Kathy. Maybe the PC party can rebuild in time for the next election. They would have a very good chance to form the next government considering the alternative....Lorraine or Dwight.
