RNC patrol officers responded to 171 calls in a 24 hour period.
Officers attended a noise complaint as a result of a house party in Mount Pearl. After returning to the police car, officers found the rear window broken out of the vehicle. A large group of teens had just exited the house party. A beer bottle was sitting on the back seat. Identification services were requested. No arrest has been made at this point.
A 35-year-old male was arrested and charged with assault, property damage, and four breaches of court orders as a result of a disturbance in the center part of the city. He was held and will appear in court in the morning.
A 15-year-old female was charged with theft under $5000.00 from a business in the Avalon Mall. She was released and will appear in court at a later date.
As a result of a traffic safety stop on Allandale Road, a vehicle was impounded as the operator did not have a valid insurance policy or the vehicle registered. The operator was also charged under the Highway Traffic Act.
RNC officers responded to a vehicle fire on Blackhead Road. There was extensive damage to the vehicle and the investigation is continuing.
RNC officers responded to the scene of a stabbing on Pennywell Road. A male victim was taken to the hospital to be treated. The investigation is continuing.
