Man charged with pointing a firearm

The RCMP in Hopedale have charged a fifty three year old male with pointing a firearm following an incident in the community Friday night.

The RCMP received a report that the man had threatened another male using a firearm and, after speaking with witnesses, charged the suspect with pointing a firearm, uttering threats and other firearm related offences.

The man is being held in custody until he appears before a judge.
