Assaults keep RNC busy

The RNC responded to 180 calls in a 24 hour period.

 

RNC officers responded to a complaint of an intoxicated female acting disorderly in a coffee shop in St. John’s.  As a result the 31-year-old female was arrested and charged with causing a disturbance, resisting arrest and two counts of assaulting a police officer. Injuries to the officer where not of a serious nature.  The female was held for court in the a.m.

 

RNC officers responded to a disturbance in the Crosbie Road area between a mother and her 15-year-old son. The youth was charged with assault and mischief after causing damages in the home.  The youth was conveyed to the Youth Detention Centre in Whitbourne and will make a first court appearance back in St. John’s in the morning.  This matter is still under investigation.

 

RNC officers responded to a dispute between a boyfriend and girlfriend at their home in the area of Hayward Avenue. As a result, the 41-year-old male was charged with assault and detained for a court appearance in the morning. The injuries were not serious in nature.

    What a lady makes me wonder how strong was her coffee,she must be proud.
