RNC assault investigation upgraded to homicide

An RNC assault investigation has been upgraded to homicide following the death of a 46-year-old male.

On Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at approximately 10:30 a.m., officers from the RNC Patrol Services Division, Criminal Investigation Division and Forensic Identification Services responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence in the downtown area of St. John’s. As a result, a 46-year-old male was transported to hospital.

On March 17, the 46-year-old male died.

An autopsy will be performed by the Chief Forensic Pathologist.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing.

    FYI all, It wasn't the RNC who killed this guy, and they're not the ones handing out the nonsensical sentences.

    Hopefully they can get this one right and in the end not have it thrown out of court for improper conduct by the investigators.

    The RNC can't keep up with the escalating crime here.Maybe city should be investing in more ways to control the large scale crime in a small city.
