The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary responded to 151 calls for service in a 24-hour period from early Monday morning to this morning.
Officers arrested a 47-year-old woman Monday around 2:15 p.m. Monday for public mischief after an altercation in the centre of St. John's.
The accused was taken to the lockup and detained until a court appearance.
At 7 p.m. Monday, RNC officers arrested a 36-year-old man on an outstanding warrant for theft. He was taken to the lockup for a court appearance this morning.
At 9:45 p.m., the RNC arrested a 59-year-old man with four breaches of a court order.
He was also taken to the lockup for a court appearance this morning. The arrest occurred in the centre of St. John's.
At 3:22 a.m. Tuesday, the RNC street patrol stopped a vehicle in the area of Topsail Beach and issued the 37-year-old male driver, several tickets under the Highway Traffic Act — driving a vehicle without Insurance; driving a vehicle without a valid driver’s licence; failing to transfer ownership of vehicle and operating a vehicle with expired licence plates.
The vehicle was impounded.
