Thirty books — spanning fiction, non-fiction, historical writing, poetry and books for children and young adults — have made the shortlist. Among them are works by Donna Morrissey, Greg Malone, Joan Sullivan, Don McKay and Mike Heffernan.
The Atlantic Book Awards and Festival will run May 9-16 with free events happening in each of the Atlantic provinces. Award winners will be announced at a gala on the last night of the festival in Dartmouth, N.S.
