House extensively damaged by fire

A house in Upper Island Cove was extensively damaged by fire this morning.

Trinity Conception District RCMP were called to the fire on Ringwood Crescent early this morning. The local fire department also responded and was able to put the fire out.

Police say the residents were not home at the time of the fire.

A fire investigator will be conducting a further investigation into the cause of the blaze.
