The RCMP in Lewisporte is investigating the discovery two syringes in the bathroom of a Tim Horton’s restaurant in the town early this morning.
Staff of the Tim Horton's location advised RCMP that a 10-year-old boy had alerted them to two syringes covered in blood on the bathroom floor in the washroom.
The needles were secured by the staff and turned over to police.
RCMP are advising the public that if they see syringes lying around not to pick them up and to contact the appropriate authorities to have them disposed of properly.
The RCMP is asking anyone having any knowledge of this incident to contact the Lewisporte RCMP at 535-8637.
