Harry Borlase wins NDP nomination for Labrador byelection

Harry Borlase of Happy Valley-Goose Bay will represent the NDP in the federal byelection for Labrador.

Borlase was one of three candidates who participated in the nomination process. A total of just over 100 ballots were cast over the weekend.

The other candidates seeking the nomination were Brandon Pardy and Mike Goosney.

    Congratulations to this idealistic young man.....but, as long time NDP supporters, we only wish that Mr. Mulcair had listened to Elizabeth May's request to 'stand back' this time around. It would only be a 'one time act', but a courageous one that we could support wholeheartedly. We are NDP, but supporters who believe the most important goal for everyone right now is to defeat the Conservatives and rid Canada of Stephen Harper. '

    If the Greens really cared about the vote splitting they would disolve next week instead of just sticking it to the NDP once in a while when it benifits the Liberals.
