It amazes me the convoluted logic the Blunderdale Government has used to justify this cut/slash/grab Budget ... all because of a deficiet THEY created thru their own miscalculation. The citizens of this Province are being asked, unaplogetically, to pay for THEIR ineptitude ... tsk, tsk BTW, Nova Scotians also pay less than us for vehicle registration ... which is good for 2 years instead of one ... where's the fairness here?

Gee whiz, think our rep Glenn Littlejohn could have clapped his hands a few times while Mr. Kennedy was announcing the budget. Maybe he didn't agree with the budget. He is a liberal after all.

Hmmmmm! I wonder what happens if we ALL show up at Motor Registration instead of doing our business online? Sure would be a funny April Fools joke on the Dunderdale government; would it not?

Kennedy is Lloyola Sullivan reborn. Sullivan hunted down delinquient school tax delinquients, many of whom had long since moved to greener pastures. The old adage is true; Tory times are hard times.

I question the need to discount the cost of registering a vehicle for seniors. The $140 is a very small part of the total cost of maintaing and owning a vehicle and the savings is a much smaller portion. Those who can own a car, maintain it and insure it certainly would not see much hardship if they had to toss in the extra $49. However the total revenue back to the province could go along way towards another MRI for one of our hospitals.

Everyone: Don't register your Veichle on line, instead mail it back to them. Only extra cost is the price of a Stamp. Small cost and maybe keep someone in a job.

A couple of years they were saying that all NFLDERS should come home as there was going to be a manpower shortage. Will i guess now they are saying pay through the nose if you are going to live here. Now the airport will do a booming business as the people that went home will now be spending $1000s to go away again. I live in G.P. Alberta and i just paid $86. to register my f 150 for a year and much better highways. ( yes i am a NFLDER and do visit NFLD. ) Highest gas prices ,hightest car rentals now more taxes just put up a big sign at the Ferry and airport bring lots of cash as we are building power plant to show the people who is boss .

Government is not a private company , it is our money and we elect people to safe guard it . Just because we have money it's no reason to give it away. Work for your raises apply for the next level pay , don't demand something you do not desereve

What an easy way to balance the budget. Put everything up. I could have done that!! No thought or planning went into this at all. I guess the government did this earlier today when they were at recess. Bunch of kids.

Why Is It Double The Price To Register A Car In NFLD, In Ontario For Example You Can Register Your Car For 2 Years For The Same Price And Drive A Lot Furthur, Same Thing With A Drivers Licence And That"s Always Been The Case, Where Is The Money Going? It Is Not On The Roads,

Because private career colleges will be dinged with new fees, it seems that the Dunderdale Government are now declaring war on them. For example, the annual campus registration fee is $500, registration fee for each campus per program is $100, provincial curriculum fee is $100, and inspection fee is $300. Since Memorial University and College of the North Atlantic will not be charged these new fees, but private career colleges will be dinged, the Dunderdale Government are discriminating against them.

So disappointing! I moved back home a few years ago, lived outside the province for 25 years and when all this hipe started about all these jobs, it gave us (nl'ders) a sense of hope that we CAN live back home. Then when you do relocate and move back, everywhere you turn it's $$$$$$ that the government is demanding and getting! Promises broken over and over again. Very heartbreaking. Jobs are now being cut, prices on everything increased, what seemed to be a little perk for us, is now being taken away!! Very upset! It will eventually backfire on them and come back to haunt them! Lets hope and pray it does. Job well done guys! Thumbs down on this one. Cheers
