Two injured as car crashes through fence, hits concrete wall

Two people were taken to hospital this afternoon after a car drove through two wooden fences near a home in the downtown area of St. John’s and crashed into a concrete wall.

The extent of injuries to the two occupants of the car are unknown at this time.

The accident occurred on Carnell Street.

Members of the St. John’s Regional Fire Department, paramedics and the RNC are on the scene.

Debris from the fence can be seen in the backyard as can tire marks in the ground.

    Parking in downtown 'ole St. John's has always been challenging. People will park just about anywhere. 10 to 1 the city will have a meter there next week (which will probably not accept loonies)
