There may still be snow on the ground but that hasn't prevented some crocuses from peeking through the piles of leaves left over from this past fall.

Although it's still chilly in the St. John's-metro region, the forecast for Friday is a mix of sun and cloud and high of 5 Celsius.
A low pressure system moving through New Brunswick and Nova Scotia is headed for Newfoundland and Labrador, but instead of snow, Environment Canada is forecasting wind and rain for the St. John's-metro region Saturday, with a low temperature of 0 Celsius and high of 7.
From Sunday into the middle of next week, a mix of sun and cloud is forecast with high temperatures of 4 and 5 Celsius.
