A 38-year-old St. John’s man has been charged with four offenses following an altercation in the Avalon Mall parking lot on Sunday.
Shortly after 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, the RNC received a complaint of a weapon’s offense.
It’s alleged that the victim parked his car in the mall parking lot and was walking away when the accused struck the victim’s vehicle with his own.
When the victim returned to check on his car, the accused pulled a knife.
There were no injuries.
The accused has been charged with assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public, property damage and also resisting arrest.
The victim’s vehicle sustained damage not only during the collision but from the knife, as well.
The accused was in court today.
