The RNC is seeking the public’s assistance to identify suspects in relation to a residential break and enter with violence in the area of Colville Street in St. John’s early this morning.

About 2:13 a.m., RNC officers responded to the incident in which four male suspects broke into the residence while the occupants were home and demanded cash.

There were no injuries sustained during the incident.

One male suspect is described as being about 5’7” tall with a medium build, early 20s wearing a black hoodie, a baseball cap with the hood up.

The second male was described as being about 5’7” tall with a medium build, wearing a white hoodie with a turquoise/blue pattern.

The third male is described as 5’7” to 5’8” 170- 180 pounds, wearing a blue hoodie, blue bandana and black gloves.

The fourth male is described as 5’11”, heavy build wearing all black.

The suspects fled the area towards a path located at the end of the cul de sac.

The RNC Major Crime Unit is continuing to investigate this offence and is seeking the assistance of the general public. Investigators are asking anyone with information in relation to this incident to contact the RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Royal Newfoundland Constabulary officers, forensic identification services and the K-9 Unit responded to a break and entry this morning around 2:13 a.m. in the Colville Street area of St. John's.

Police say four male suspects broke into a home while the occupants were home and demanded cash from them.

All four were said to have had their faces concealed. The men were described as being in their 20s and of average height and weight and one of the suspects was described as carrying a weapon.

No injuries to the occupants are reported, but there was some damage to the residence.

The Criminal Investigation Unit was notified and the investigation is continuing.

Meanwhile, the RNC and St. John’s Regional Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire Tuesday night around 11:51 p.m. in the area of the Village Shopping Centre in St. John’s.

The fire was extinguished, but resulted in extensive damage to the vehicle, which was towed from the area.
