RNC is requesting the public’s assistance in a hit and run investigation

The RNC accident investigation unit is seeking the assistance of the public in relation to a motor vehicle collision on Topsail Road in St. John’s.

About 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, a 2001 grey Honda CRV, bearing Newfoundland licence plate number HJB 242, collided with a 2004 grey Toyota in the area of Brookfield Fire Station on Topsail Road in St. John’s.

The grey Honda CRV was travelling east on Topsail Road and while in the process of changing lanes it collided with the grey Toyota which was also travelling east on Topsail Road. The driver of the Honda CRV failed to provide all the required information under the Highway Traffic Act.

There was damage to both vehicles.

RNC accident investigators are continuing their investigation into the collision and are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, were in the immediate area or is aware of where the grey Honda CRV is located is asked to contact police.
