RNC requesting public’s help in hit and run investigation

The RNC is seeking the assistance of the public in relation to a motor vehicle collision on Hamilton Avenue Extension, St. John’s, Friday, April 5.

About 3:30 p.m. that day, a blue Honda Civic collided with a 2009 blue Hyundai Accent which was parked on Hamilton Avenue Extension in the area of ScotiaBank. The driver of the Honda Civic failed to stop and provide the operator of the car the required information under the Highway Traffic Act.

There was damage to both vehicles.

It is believed a male witnessed the collision and may have additional valuable information to assist the RNC Accident Investigation Section. The man is asked to contact the RNC.

RNC Accident Investigators are continuing their investigation and anyone who has any information in relation to the collision is asked to contact the RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
