- Why wasn't anyone from MUN astute enough to stop the give-away of our natural resources in the raw state?

Why hasn't anyone from any of the Faculties at Memorial University spoken up, over the decades, concerning the give-away of Newfoundland and Labrador's natural resources in the raw state? One would think that at least one of the faculty members there would have been astute enough to decipher that when a province's politicians give away their natural resources in the raw state, the province affected will suffer a severe economic catastrophe. Were they all toeing the line for what Ottawa wanted? Newfoundland and Labrador became an economic basket case because of the lack of somebody taking the reigns and speaking up. You would think that the Economics and Political Science Faculties at Memorial University would have picked up on the give-away and the resulting economic chaos that would occur. It seems to me that Nobody did, I wonder why?

Free money? No strings are attached? Will we expect to see a similar donation to the School of Social Work? Methinks this chalice is poisoned

Maybe they can fix the time in the clock here, wrong for what seems like year(s). Why did plans like this spendy infrastucture not include the foresight for maintenance?
