RNC seek public assistance in theft investigation

The RNC is requesting the assistance of the general public in providing information regarding the theft of camera equipment from a vehicle in St. John’s Sunday, April 14.

Sometime between the hours of 3:50 p.m. and 6:50 p.m., a quantity of camera equipment was stolen from a white 2010 Jeep parked in the parking lot of Bowring Park in St. John’s.

The items stolen included a Canon 5D Mark II camera, Canon 50 D camera, Canon 24-70 mm 2.8 lens, Canon 70-200 mm 2.8 lens, Canon 50 mm 1.4 lens, Canon flash, speed light transmitter, several CF memory cards, Canon camera batteries and a purple Kelly Moore camera bag.

The RNC is continuing to investigate this theft and is seeking the assistance of the general public. Anyone who may have any information in relation to this crime is asked to contact the RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). You can now provide information anonymously on the NL Crime Stoppers website at www.nlcrimestoppers.com

The RNC is also issuing a reminder that any person that is in the possession of stolen property can be charged criminally under the Criminal Code of Canada.
