The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) is requesting the assistance of the general public in providing information regarding a firearm stolen from a vehicle in St. John's.

Police received a complaint today that a truck parked on Suvla Street was broken into overnight. The items stolen from the vehicle included a Browning stainless steel 22-250 Remington long arm rifle in a camouflage case, a black with Birchwood stock Daisy lever action BB gun, a green camouflage Remington real tree insulated jacket and pants.

Also stolen was a black Browning on point max flashlight.

The RNC says it's concerned about the types of items stolen and consider their potential availability on the street to be a public safety concern.

With all the two legged scumbags crawling at night, looking into parked vehicles, there are still people who leave items in plain sight in their vehicles ?. Hello ???.

Where did you see that the items were in plain sight? How about we stick to the facts as reported... unless you know something we don't.
