RCMP in Hopedale arrested a 24-year-old man Monday while investigating a complaint of theft of firearms from Natuashish.

Charges include possession of a firearm while unauthorized to do so, weapons trafficking, escape lawful custody and breaching court-imposed conditions.

Also on Monday, Hopedale RCMP arrested another 30-year-old man for breaching court-imposed conditions.

The man, who already has charges of assault, threats, and court order breaches before the courts, had been arrested four days prior for breaching court conditions, but was released after a court appearance.

The man was held in custody to be brought back before a Judge on the new charge.
