Jail is the proper place for this idiot. It's irrelevant what they did to anybody else. Putting on false stickers is not simple neglect, it's a deliberate attempt to break the law. His car should be taken for good, and if anybody is stupid enough to loan him a car in the future, their car should be taken as well.

The "criminal" should be in jail the rest of his life so he doesn't kill someone driving. Forget the fine.

If we had the same system as Ontario if you sold a used car the plate stays with the owner and the purchaser would have to get a new plate. with outstanding fines NO PLATE!!!

it would be very interesting to know exactly how much money that the government is owed in outstanding finds? and do they have collectors always persuing ways of collecting them.

Newfoundland...the provincial debt here would actually be millions in surplus if uncollected traffic fines were ever tracked down. Naaaahhhhh. It's way easier just to keep screwing innocent taxpayers.......

Not sure of the "summary of facts" as you posted.....but you seem to be weeping for this guy. Well boo hoo. The fact that he is 'old' simply means he's been at this BS of not paying his fines much longer. These young bucks will eventually be "old, helpless" men too......and by then they'll owe $1 million each.
