The provincial government would be insane to pay this type of blackmail. This example says it all about petty municipal politicians who are more interested in their own small minded agendas than in helping the people they were elected to help. He's a perfect example of why government shut drastically cut the number of municipalities. While I'm totally frustrated with the Dunderdale government, I also remember that the Liberals appointed this buffoon to Cabinet. Hopefully this is not his way of gearing up for a run at provincial politics again

I think Mayor Hogan has finally lost it. Does he charge permit fees to other contractors that are doing work in his town such as water and sewer and other infrastructure? The goverment should cancel this contract right now and tech them a lesson.

Turn this bridge over to the town of Placentia and let them pay for the replacement. People of the province are paying for this from our tax dollars. I can travel without using the bridge.
