A 22-year-old from New Brunswick was arrested on George Street early Friday morning and charged with aggravated assault, according to the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary.
In a news release issued late Friday evening, officers with patrol services responded to a call at 3:30 a.m. concerning an assault on the popular St. John’s street.
The accused is said to have assaulted another 22-year-old male. The victim suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital. He remained there as of late Friday evening.
