About 1 p.m. Sunday, RCMP officers in Sheshatshiu were called to a single-vehicle accident on the North West River highway where two people were injured and the driver charged with impaired driving causing bodily harm.
An ambulance called to the scene transported the injured to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The driver was arrested at the scene. He was taken to the RCMP detachment to provide a breath sample and was subsequently released by police to appear in court at a later date.
Charges of impaired driving causing bodily harm were laid.
