A 32-year-old man died at the scene of a single-vehicle accident about 11:32 p.m. Thursday on Indian Meal Line, about two kilometres from the Portugal Cove side of the town of Portugal Cove/St. Philip’s.

The man was the only occupant of the vehicle. The vehicle was west-bound at the time of the accident and left the road striking a utility pole on the south side of the road.

The RNC says roads were dry, but it was foggy at the time.

The RNC responded along with the Torbay Volunteer Fire Department and the Portugal Cove/St. Philip’s Volunteer Fire Department. Members from RNC’s forensic identification section and accident investigation division attended the scene.

The accident remains under investigation.

It was not that foggy?! You obviously have no idea what you're talking about. He was NOT speeding and it was as foggy that night as I've ever seen it in this area.
