Vehicle cracks off pole, rolls into home

A vehicle ended up leaning against a house on Waterford Bridge Road in St. John’s this afternoon after it first cracked off a utility poll.

There were two people in the vehicle at the time, but there is no word right now on the extent of any injuries.

The vehicle is extensively damaged, and there’s damage to the house and property.

Newfoundland Power crews are on the scene assessing the damage.

Waterford Bridge Road, from Road Deluxe and Water Street, is currently closed to traffic as the accident scene is investigated by police and cleanup is carried out.

    Do not jump to the conclusion that the driver was speeding on purpose. There could have been a health issue with the driver's foot stuck on the gas. There could have been a mechanical issue with the gas peddle being stuck or the break peddle not working. etc....
