A 15-year-old boy who went missing in Nain in the early hours of this morning was located safe some hours later by a member of the community.
Nain RCMP said officers were contacted about 4 a.m. and told the teenager had left his residence on foot sometime between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m..
The RCMP called Nain search and rescue and the local Rangers to assist in the search.
A community member subsequently located the teenager on Pauls Island and brought him back to his family. He was cold and wet, but otherwise unharmed.
