Great news! About time! Now, if Marine Atlantic would do away with their old system of having all of the ferry passengers park their cars, trucks and camper vehicles in the big parking lot and wait there for hours on end before the ferry is prepared to allow the vehicles to go on board of the ferry. It would make more sense and improve the travel experience to allow each car, truck or camper vehicle to drive directly onto the ferry as soon as they arrive and allow the passengers to go to their seats or cabins or just tour around the ship or get a hot meal until it is time to depart. Changing the system may create some inconvenience for the ferry crew who are cleaning rooms or restocking supplies but surely it could be done to allow the passengers to avoid long hours of boring waiting in their cars in the parking lot or in the ferry terminal prior to departure. Such a system may also reduce turn around departure times.

As if we are not paying enough for Marine Atlantic services now we have to incur another hike in prices to pay for a new terminal.
