Joanne, the organization is looking for donations, and men regardless of their situation are not seen as a marginalized group and are rarely at the top of anyone's list when it's time to open up the chequebook to make a charitable donation.

Tried to donate mint condition toys at Xmas time and SPAN wouldn't take them because they were not brand new. I have no interest in helping them out anymore so I just drop off all our toys and clothes, barely used, to the Salvation Army store. There must be a reason they only get $20k in funding.

Why doesn't SPAN run some type of lottery to raise money?? Newfoundlanders are known to be one of the top buyers of lotto and home lottery tickets. My other question is, Why are there no comments from the single dads that the association have helped??
