Woman, seven months pregnant, charged with armed robbery, possessing dangerous weapon
Jeanie Bungay of Paradise is the 26-year-old woman charged in connection with an armed robbery at a Conception Bay South convenience store Tuesday.
Bungay, who is seven months pregnant, is due to appear in court this morning. Her lawyer is Randy Piercey.
The 26-year-old is charged with armed robbery and possessing a dangerous weapon (a knife).
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) General Investigation Unit has arrested and charged a 26-year-old woman in connection with an armed robbery in Conception Bay South.
RNC officers responded to a report of an armed robbery Tuesday around 6 p.m. at For Your Convenience on the CBS Highway.
The suspect, armed with a weapon, entered the store and demanded cash before fleeing the scene, heading west on CBS Highway.
Police say there were no injuries sustained during the commission of the offence.
Wednesday, the RNC issued a news release asking for help from the public in identifying the person responsible for this crime.
The 26-year-old woman was arrested without incident and held in custody until a court appearance.
She was charged with armed robbery and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
