A 29-year-old St. John’s man who was on federal parole was arrested in the Topsail Road, Paradise area about 12:35 a.m. today after fleeing police on the Outer Ring Road.
He was arrested by RNC officers with the aid of the RNC’s police dog service.
He has been charged with flight from police, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and resisting arrest. He was also issued tickets for not having a licence, no insurance and not wearing a seatbelt.
The vehicle was impounded and the accused held for court today.
