The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is looking to speak with a cyclist who may have witnessed a fatal accident on the Outer Ring Road late Sunday morning.
According to a news release issued Monday, police believe that person may have valuable information to share in relation to its investigation into an accident that claimed the life of a 56-year-old man in St. John’s.
The single-vehicle collision happened Sunday at approximately 11:20 a.m. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. It happened in the eastbound lane between Pitts Memorial Drive and the Kenmount Road overpass. That section of the Outer Ring Road was closed for several hours while police investigated the accident.
The RNC is asking the cyclist or anyone else with information relating to the accident to call 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
