These rescue kittens are two of many up for adoption in St. John's.
Two five-week-old kittens are up for adoption after being rescued Monday.
The furry, black kittens — named Robin and Hoodie — were found beneath a van that was about to be crushed and recycled, according to a news release from the City of St. John's. They were reportedly underweight and dehydrated, but have recovered and are still improving.
Coun. Sheilagh O'Leary, chairwoman of the animal care and control committee for the city, said along with Robin and Hoodie, there are many cats up for adoption at the Humane Services shelter.
"If you've ever thought of adopting a cat or kitten, there's never been a better time to do it," she said in the news release.
The shelter is at 81 Higgins Line.
