Just a comment, Major's Path always came out on Torbay Road, if Mr. Sheppard missed that since 1963 I cannot see how. I lived on Torbay Rd, close to Major's Path from 1951 to 1962, it was there then, and long before that. I don't think it could have ended anywhere else, unless made a dead end road, and that sure would never have worked. I'm amazed though at how it changed since we moved from there, where we lived is gone, the road actually runs right over where our house was. Back then it was country, way outside St. John's and no one ever thought it would be developed like it is today. It was all farms, streams, ponds and marsh, all gone today, but I have great memories of growing up out there.

The sprawl is necessary, apparently, but terrible to deal with as housing developments and businesses are placed far sooner than infrastructure to handle increaed population and traffic -- as anyone else who sat for over an hour an a half on the CBS Highway yesterday evening can attest.
