Video of thrift store fire suspect released

The RNC released a video today hoping for information from the public in connection with a suspicious fire at the Salvation Army Thrift Store on Kenmount Road in St. John’s Thursday.

About 12:05 a.m. Thursday, RNC officers, along with firefighters from St. John’s Regional Fire Department, responded to the fire at 49 Kenmount Rd. The building sustained moderate damage as a result of the fire.

There were no injuries reported at the time of the fire and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The RNC General Investigation Unit is asking anyone who may have seen any suspicious persons or vehicles in the immediate area prior to the fire or has any information in relation to the fire to contact the RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). You can provide information anonymously on the NL Crime Stoppers website at www.nlcrimestoppers.com.
