I can recall that, decades ago, a St. John's lawyer had the distinction of being the first lawyer to be disbarred in NL. That lawyer had inappropriately withdrawn money from clients' trust accounts. A prominent St. John's lawyer was sentenced to four(4) years in jail in 1994 for improperly disbursing trust account funds without authority, for his personal use. Inappropriately withdrawing money from clients' trust accounts is only one of the serious allegations faced by Mr. Moores.

From what I read in the article, the RCMP are not even involved in this matter. It doesn't say anything either about funds for personal use. It only says it was done without the his/her authorization or knowledge. Mr. Moores worked on something for a few years back and my family will be forever grateful to him. I think is a lot of misunderstanding coming from this article and that people are assuming too many things. He is not on trial at the court. He done no wrongdoing by me or my family thats all I am saying. It's say that people assume things before knowing both sides of the story. You wouldn't know if people were on the actual law society panel the way they are talking. I support the man and think this matter has gotten out of control by the public. I say again, it does not mention that the RCMP or RNC are involved so it can't be as bad as it appears in the article.
