Liberal leadership candidate Paul Antle launched his campaign today with a fierce attack on the Dunderdale government.

Antle accused the PC Party of breaking promises and governing behind a shroud of secrecy.

Antle was introduced and endorsed by federal Liberal MP Scott Simms.

Antle is the last leadership candidate to launch his campaign. He joins MHAs Dwight Ball and Jim Bennett, along with businesswoman Cathy Bennett and former MHA Danny Dumaresque.

Antle's speech today was largely an attack on the PC Party. He talked about Muskrat Falls saying the people haven't been given enough information.

He also talked about his history as a businessman and the need for better management in government.

I remember the time when if there was any misdemeanor, tax evasion, criminal intent or acts etc then the Political Party leader could not or would not sign nomination papers for you. What happened to the rule book.? Lets try getting "honourable" back into the honourable House of Assembly.

Why are federal M.P.'s and 1 Senator (George Furey) playing key roles in the leadership bids of 3 of the leadership candidates? Are the paid political staffers of the MP's still getting their federal salaries when organising campaigns here? Something is not right about their activity and involvement here.

@Federal Presence, Members of Parliament are welcome to support provincial politicians and be actively involved in their campaigns. They are just as entitled to do this as anyone else. Their staff who live in the province can also be involved as volunteers, donors, etc. just like anyone else. Only a few groups (such as judges) are not to involve themselves in politics. Everyone else is welcome. If there is "something not right" here you should be specific. Individuals - including those employeed by the government - are entitled to volunteer their time and be involved with political causes.
